Today I marched…

Today I marched for all my fellow rape and sexual assault survivors, who like me are facing a harsh reminder of the violence and violation that once attacked us, a reminder that will now sit in the highest seat of power in the world for the next 4 years.
Today I marched for my fellow sisters, who faced an unbearable choice and were brave enough to make a choice for themselves. I marched so generations of Women will continue to have that right for their own bodies.
Today I marched to move away and against white privilege, white egocentricity and white supremacy. As a white woman, I know my challenges are different than some of my fellow sisters. I know Feminism has left you out in the cold- they told your Grandmothers to go home when they wanted to march, but today you finally marched, we marched side by side. We have so much further to go, until we can fully meet in the middle at unity. Teach me. Teach us.
Today I marched for all the beautiful, capable, strong, intelligent, and amazing abilities every single Human has. I marched to remind our Nation that although our abilities differ, our capability to be loved and to love is equal.
Today I marched for our original indigenous people. You are our foundation- today we stood on your shoulders and marched behind you full of pride.
Today I marched for the immigrants of this nation. Know that you are welcome. You are beneficial. You are brave. You are worthy.
Today I marched for my LGBTQ friends. We fought hard, side by side, for equality. Know that we will defend that from any and every threat; any and every law; and bigoted language, dogma, or ideals that come OUR way.
Today I marched to let a Man know that we are here. We are loud. We are organized. We are brave. We are awake. And we will move any mountain that gets in our way.
Today was beautiful. Powerful. Inspiring. Thank you to everyone who marched and everyone who cheered us on and supported us.
Today we were a nation.
Beautiful America. 🇺🇸✊🏼✊🏽✊🏻✊🏾✊🏿🇺🇸
