“She gets stronger as she goes.” Virgil
A common translation is “it gets stronger as it goes”. However, Virgil in the Aeneid IV, was referencing the goddess Fame (Greek: Phema/ Roman: Fama) who was “all seeing, swift footed, and gained strength the faster she ran”.
Virgil wrote that she “had her feet on the ground, and her head in the clouds, making the small seem great and the great seem greater.”
